Torremolinos – Costa Del Sol

Transfer Time – 15 minutes

Best For – Families and couples wanting a beach resort with plenty activities

Torremolinos is a fabulous resort only 15 kilometres from Malaga airport, perfect if you are travelling with little ones, a short flight and short transfers means you can be enjoying a sunny holiday in no time.  Torremolinos is situated near to the Sierra Mountain range too so the scenery is absolutely stunning.

Days in Torremolinos are usually spent relaxing around the variety of hotel pools or on the stunning beaches, with miles of soft golden sand, gently shelving into the Med, with its safe shallow waters and crystal clear waters, makes it a wonderful place for kiddies to play. There are many sun loungers and parasols for hire and the promenade runs right along the beach front, perfect place for a spot of lunch or a nice cool drink.  There is every type of water sport on offer on the main beach too, from jet skis, kite surfing, motor boats and pedal boats, you name it, Torremolinos has it.  Torremolinos also has many shops, boutiques and souvenir stalls too, many open til the early hours.

Evenings in Torremolinos can be as lively or as quiet as you wish, the choice of bars and cafes are plentiful and all family friendly.  Many put on evening entertainment and there are even a handful of discos if you wish to dance the night away.  Eating out is easy, from snack bars and take aways to exclusive restaurants, many international menus and traditional tapas too, something for everyone.

Torremolinos has many activities away from the beach, Golfers will be in paradise, with many championship gold courses within a short drive, or try a horse ride through the countryside, or maybe even take the kiddies bowling. There is also tennis and badminton courts too.  Marbella is nearby, and well worth a visit, sitting by the marina and watching the rich and famous.  There is the largest Aqua Park just outside Torremolinos, with lots of chutes and flumes, a great fun day out for all the family, and there are zoo and marine parks too.  And not forgetting day trips to Madrid, Gibraltar and Barcelona are also easy to do, each with many historical sights and local attractions.  This area really suits all tastes and budgets.
