Transfer Time – 50 minutes

Best For – Couples and families looking for a cosmopolitan resort and great beaches

Puerto Banus is an exclusive resorts which sits on the stunning coast line of the Costa Del Sol, a perfect destination for celeb spotting and the marina is something else, with hundreds of expensive yachts and beautiful outdoor cafes and cocktail bars, its just wonderful location for watching the world go by while you sip a long cool drink and relax.

Puerto Banus has two fabulous beaches, situated either side of the marina, so getting around the resort if very easy.  The first beach is Azucar, with wonderful sandy shores which shelve gently into the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean, a perfect place for kiddies to play, there’s also a little play area too to keep them entertained while you sit back on your sun lounger and relax.  For the energetic, there is a great selection of water sports on this beach too, and also horse riding, diving, tennis and mountain walking, so you should never get bored.  For those wanting to kick back and relax, there are a handful of small, more private coves where a sun lounger and a good book is the order of the day.  Puerto Banus is fabulous for shopping too, it has many shops, designer boutiques and of course the souvenir stalls too.

Evenings are when Puerto Banus really comes alive, with masses of bars, cafes, wine bars and cocktail bars to choose from, all family friendly of course, and even a few nightclubs too, perfect for dancing the night away.  Eating out here is a pleasure, with many varieties of menu on offer, from traditional tapas to Italian, Chinese, Indian, to name but a few.  Fresh fish is fabulous and extremely popular, always caught fresh that day.  Marbella is also very close, with another selection of wonderful places to wine and dine.

Puerto Banus is perfectly located to get out and about in the Costa Del Sol, if you can bear to leave this little piece of heaven.  Fuengirola is a short bus ride away and has an amazing water park for the young and young at heart, with many flumes and chutes to keep you busy.  Hire a boat and explore this wonderful coastline, there are many deserted coves and it’s a great way of seeing neighbouring resorts too.  Madrid, Barcelona and Gibraltar are all within easy reach and each hold some wonderful attractions for you to see.
