Tossa De Mar is a wonderful resort full of traditional character, old buildings, cobbled streets and the most stunning of coastlines and underwater marine park. Tossa De Mar is a great resort for exploring and has something to suit everyone, regardless of your taste and budget.

Most holiday makers enjoying spending their days either round the hotel pool or relaxing on the stunning beaches that surround this stunning resort. The main beach in Tossa is Platja Gran where you can enjoy soft golden sands, which shelve gently into the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean. This beach is really popular with families as the waters are calm and perfect for paddling. For those who want quieter beaches, there are a couple of more secluded beaches a little walk along the coastline, perfect for couples who want to relax and do nothing more than turn a page of a good book. The main beach has a great water sports centre with various activities for the more adventurous, i.e. kayaks, para gliding and jet skis, and for those who want to try scuba diving or want to improve, there is an amazing dive centre which offers tuition to adults and children and the nearby resort of L’Estartit has its very own underwater park so you will never be short of things to see or do. Tossa De Mar has a lovely old quarter, with winding cobbled streets, lots of outdoor cafés and shops and some amazingly old buildings offering a little culture for the culture vultures too.

Evenings are varied and generally family friendly in Tossa De Mar, with a great selection of bars and cafés offering cheap drinks and a varied entertainment programme, including things such as bingo, quizzes and live music and there’s nearby L’Estartit for a change of scenery too. There is plenty restaurants from your traditional Spanish through to more international menus such as Indian, Chinese and Italian. There’s also snack bars, pizzerias and take aways if you just fancy something quick. Shopping is a popular evening past time as the temperatures are cooler and the shops still open til late too.

Tossa De Mar is in a great location on the Costa Brava coast for getting out and exploring the surrounding areas. Only a short train ride and you could find yourself in the Stunning city’s of Barcelona and Granada, both wonderful for souvenir shopping, historical architecture, traditional cafés and restaurants and typical Spanish lifestyles, oh and don’t forget the famous Camp Nou stadium, a popular choice with the boys!! For families, you can try a day at the famous theme park, Port Aventura, with masses of thrilling rides and adventures or there’s always Europe’s largest water park at Lloret De Mar, with over 20 chutes and flumes, a great day for the young and young at heart. Boat trips are another great way to get out and see the wonderful coves and beaches along this coastline and are very reasonably priced too.
