The resort of Benidorm is set on the beautiful coast of the Costa Blanca, offering families one of the best all round resorts on the Spanish Mainland. With a wide choice of accommodation suiting everyone’s tastes and budgets with facilities to suit all too, not to mention wide sweeping sanding beaches and safe shallow waters to play in, makes this a perfect destination when you are travelling with children. The two main beaches in Benidorm, The Levante beach and the Old Town beach have both been awarded the EU blue flag for cleanliness and safeness, with plenty lifeguards for that added security too.

The resort of Benidorm can be easily visited, with a flight of under 3 hours from the UK and serves from almost every major UK airport, the transfer is a short one too, around about 1 hour, making it ideal again for families.

Eating out in Benidorm is so easy, the choice of places to eat is so huge and varied, that you really need never eat in the same place twice, there is traditional Spanish restaurants offering local fish and meat dishes, to your regular burger bars or pizza shops. Many of the local restaurants use local produce in their dishes and often offer the local wines produced nearby as accompaniment too.

Night-life in Benidorm is varied and extensive, you will have no problems finding family friendly places to frequent, from your cosy traditional pubs to an extensive selection of clubs and discos, again great if you have a group of mixed ages all wanting different things, Benidorm has a bit of something for everyone.

Getting around in Benidom is easy, the local buses are regular and reliable, car hire is reasonable and taxi’s are ten a penny too. Many of the tour operators will offer you excursions and there is plenty to see in and around Benidorm. Take a look at The Benidorm Palace, which lays on Las Vegas styled shows suitable for all the family, or maybe a day out to Terramitica, with it thrilling theme park, shows and then maybe take a cruise around it ancient village.
Mundomar and Aqualandia are two very famous places to visit, one a huge aqua park with slides and chutes to thrill and entertain, or why not walk next door and see live dolphin shows, and other marine life performing for your pleasure.

Benidorm has always been one of Spain’s hot spots, but is really is a firm favourite for families, and be sure to look out for free child places, family room upgrades, and pre school offers. It truly is a traditional sunshine resort with plenty to offer everyone and due to the massive choice of varied accommodations, its easily reached, regardless of your taste or budget.
