Mojacar is a beautiful resort, set on a hillside location with views that will take your breathe away. The village has a traditionally Spanish feel to it, with beautiful white washed buildings, covered in bougainvillea, all no higher than 4 stories high, and old cobbled streets, winding roads and cosy outdoor cafés on every corner. One of the driest and hottest areas in Spain, its no wonder British holiday makers flee to Almeria for some wonderful winter and summer sunshine.

Mojacar has a fabulous beach, over 5 kilometres of gorgeous golden sand, gently shelving into the crystal blue waters, just perfect for families, they little ones will love playing in the warm, gentle surf and you can relax knowing they are safe. People come from miles around for the diving and the snorkelling that this area is famous for, the waters are so perfect and the underwater scenery and marines life is just astounding. There is plenty sun loungers and parasols for hire and the beach still feels uncrowded, even during high season. For those feeling more energetic, the water sports centre is the best in the region, with jet skis, para gliding, banana rides, ringos and many more, there’s so much to keep you going all day. The beach is lined with wonderful places to wine and dine or just to get that all important cool drink. Bird watchers will love Mojacar, with the wide and varied feathered friends that flock to Mojacar at different times of the year. And finally Mojacar has 4 fantastic championship golf courses, so there is something here for everyone.

Evenings in Mojacar are generally low key, a traditional meal in one of the fabulous restaurants that line the beach front or village centre, tapas bars and a few international themed menus, i.e. Italian, Mexican, Indian and Chinese. There is also a handful of fast food venues, pizzerias and take aways and cafés offering snacks. The beach front is probrably the liveliest area, with a good choice of bars and cafés, some offering evening entertainment and there are more to chose from in the older part of town. Many enjoy wandering around the shops on an evening, once the temperatures drop a bit. There are a good choice of shops and boutiques to explore and Roquetas de Mar has a bigger choice, so definitely worth a visit.

Mojacar is perfectly located for exploring this wonderful country, Mojacar has a few wonderful sights of its own. Not too far away, there is a fabulous water park, perfect for the young and young at heart, with chutes, flumes and play areas, makes for a great day out. Cabo De Gata is a local nature reserve, where you will see some amazing marine and wild life. Another wonderful day or night out is Granada, the 8th wonder of the world!!! Discover the Alhambra Palace and experience the history and culture of this beautiful city. Or take a look at the Sierra Nevada mountains, stopping at villages and wine vineyards on route and seeing views you only ever dreamed of.
