The night-life in Calpe can be as lively or quiet as you wish, there are some amazing restaurants offering romantic locations overlooking the sea and there’s plenty family friendly restaurants offering traditional dishes and international menus. Obviously fish dishes are extremely popular here, being a working fishing village, you will see the locals bringing fresh fish daily and taking it straight to the restaurants that day too. There is plenty bars, cafés and cocktail bars offering a variety of evening entertainments or somewhere to relax and enjoy a late night tipple. Of course for a livelier scene, Benidorm with is masses of places to wine and dine and lively night-life is only 20 minute away too. There is shops, boutiques and souvenir stalls in both resorts and most stay open late making shopping more comfortable, when the temperatures drop a bit.

There are many excursions on offer around the resort of Calpe, in particular, families would love a day trip to Mundomar, with dolphin, sea lion and parrot shows, or maybe a day at Aqualung, Benidorm’s best water park, with masses of slides and chutes to excite the young and young at heart. Terramitica is a fabulous day trip, a theme park based on ancient civilisation, with thrilling rides and pulse racing activities. For the walkers, you should take a wander around the Penon de Ifach, a rock standing 355 metres high, not for the faint hearted but the views are breathtaking. For the adults, a fun day out at the local Jalon vineyard, wine tasting and lunch, learning about the local production of wines and champagnes. Calpe is in a perfect location to see this wonderful country.
