If you are looking for a winter sun destination, then look no further than Goa the hidden Jewel of the Indian Ocean.
You will need to have a full 10 year British passport with six months validity on it and you will also need to purchase an Indian visa online at a cost of approximately £30 per person.

The season for Goa starts in November and runs until the end of April as the monsoon starts in our summer months. The average daily temperature is a max of 32c with an average of 9 hours of daily sunshine. The currency is the Indian Rupee.
Flights operate from mainly Gatwick and Manchester with Monarch, Thomas Cook or Thomson airways with a flying time of approximately 9 hours. The time difference is +5.5 hours.

Goa is made up of three main areas the North, Central and South.

The North and Central Goa are classed as the busiest areas with a varied selection of hotels ranging from small 1 star dormhouses ideally suited to those on a budget or wanting to travel around and see the different resorts, moving onto the higher grade hotels with a lot more facilities on offer. The beaches here are vast and lined with beach shacks from which you can sample the local cuisine. Eating out in the North is a pure delight whatever your taste is. There are numerous tourist shops and flea markets for you to get a bargain especially if you like to haggle. If nightlife is your scene then this is the place for you with lots lively bars and beach parties.

The South has a more laid back feel offering some first class hotels with spa facilities and quality restaurants. The sweeping sandy beaches are perfect place to relax with plenty of shaded areas. Take a boat trip up the River Sal and sample the freshly caught fish cooked to your liking. Nightlife is of low key here offering a handful of bars.
