Transfer Time – 40 minutes

Best For – Couples, friends and families looking for a lively holiday and great beach

Neighbouring resorts of Tsilivi and Tragaki share the same stretch of beach but couldn’t be more different when it comes to the villages. Tragaki is very small and traditional, where Tsilivi has so much to offer everyone. Offering a hassle free base, offers a destination shared with friendly locals and other tourists looking to experience greets at its best. Tsilivi is located on the North coast and is located in a very pretty setting, with local olive groves and wine vineyards, making is a perfect location for walking too.

The beach in Tsilivi is stunning, awarded the Blue flag for safety, cleanliness and quality. The long wide golden beach has beautiful soft sand, gently sheaving into the Ionian Sea, perfect for children with gentle surf and shallow waters to play in too. This beach does have water sports, but not as many as others as it is partly protected for nestling turtles, however the nearby resorts of Argassi and Alykanas have a huge selection such as pedallos, jet skis, bananas and rings, water skis and scuba diving is popular too.

Eating out in Tsilivi is an absolute pleasure, there is enough restaurants and tavernas to eat somewhere different every night, all offering a high quality of food and local produce. Fresh fish is particularly popular and often caught fresh that day. There are international restaurants too offering varied cuisine from Italy, china and India to name but a few. There are also beach cafes, snack bars and fast food places when required. Night-life is varied, family friendly and offer a good selection of local wines, beers, spirits and cocktails, and you must try the local ouzo too, a local aniseed liqueur . The night-life is quite cosmopolitan and high class and attracts a mixture of age groups, neighbouring Tragaki is much quieter.

There are so many wonderful sights to be seen in Zante, boat trips are a great way of getting around to places unreachable by foot or car. Smugglers cove is Zante’s most famous landmark, with a stunning beach and real ship wreck, only reached by boat and perfect for diving. There are many museums, monasteries and historical sights to look over. Dozens of beaches with diving centres and many resorts have local markets selling local crafts and wares.

Zante is a lush green island sea with stunning scenery, spectacular coastline and resorts to cater to all tastes and budgets, it really is the perfect holiday destination.
