Rhodes Town is a beautiful resort steeped in history, there are two parts to Rhodes Town too, the old town with its mixture of historical buildings and churches and the new town with its fabulous shops, boutiques, bars and discos, it really is a resort for all ages. Beautiful cobbled streets, open air cafés, traditional and cosmopolitan all at the same time.

The beach in Rhodes Town is perfect, with soft golden sand and shingle beach gently shelving into the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean, perfect for families. For the more energetic, the beach is host to a great many water sports, ranging from pedallos, canoes, through to water skiing, jet skiing and para gliding. There are many lovely beach front tavernas and cafés and snack bars offering a perfect place to have lunch and enjoy a break from the midday sunshine.

Rhodes Town is really game of two halves, you have the old town which is a mixture of family bars, cafés and pubs offering family friendly places to enjoy a drink and local entertainment, all situated in and around the main square of Cyprus Square, there is also many restaurants and tavernas offering a variety of local and international dishes, again all catering for those wanting a lovely meal and a chat over a bottle of wine. Then you have the new part of town, where again there is a great selection of places to wine and dine and many, many lively bars and discos to dance through til the early hours.

The shopping in Rhodes Town is fantastic, there are many., many shops, boutiques and souvenir shops to browse around, many open til late too. Should you feel the need to leave Rhodes Town, there are many excursions that may appeal to you. Take an island tour and visit the many historical sights, superb beaches and the friendly resorts around the island. There are water parks, thermal spas and opportunities to take a boat trip to neighbouring Turkey or a visit to the Acropolis, the choices are endless.
