Best For – Families and couples looking for a great beach and relaxing night-life

Lardos is a spectacular resort, situated only 7 kilometres from the famous resort of Lindos, on the south east coast, where sandy beaches and crystal blue waters are in abundance and scenery is to die for. The locals in Lardos always offer service with a smile, you’ll be hard pushed to find friendlier people.

The beach in Lardos is definitely one of the beast on the island, people travel from miles around to enjoy the soft golden sand and the crystal blue waters, and families particularity enjoy the safe, shallow waters too, its a perfect location for children to play. There is everything you need on the beach, plenty sunbeds, parasols and all spread out, the beach doesn’t even feel crowded during high season. For those feeling energetic, there is a great selection of water sports, including paragliding, jet skis and pedalloes, to name but a few. Snorkelling and diving is also popular here with the clarity of the water and the marine life around this shore.

Evenings in Lardos are spent in around the main village square, mixing with the lovely friendly locals and eating alfresco in the many cafés, restaurants and the local tavernas. All very family orientated, they cater very well for children and offer menus with t hem in mind. There are a good selection of bars, cafés and cocktail bars, again offering a great choice of places to take in an evening drink, again family friendly, and some livelier then others. The evenings are very laid back, should you wish for something a little livelier, the neighbouring resort of Lindos has good night-life and is easily reached by local bus or taxi.

Lardos is perfectly situated on the south east coast of Rhodes, making it a perfect base to get out and see the island in all its glory. Historically there are so many sight to see, Lindos with its ruins of Athena and the Acropolis, Rhodes Town has many too, including ruins, museums and churches galore, along with fabulous shops, places to wine and dine and the harbour is perfect for sitting with a cool drink and watch the world go by. There are water parks with slides and splash pools within a short drive and the Thermal Spa at Kallithea is definitely well worth a look.

Rhodes is blessed by being the sunniest Greek island and Lardos is a perfect resort from which to see this stunning island, we guarantee you’ll want to visit again and again!!
