Lambi & Psalidi (Near Kos Town) Kos

Transfer Time – 45 Minutes

Best For – Families and couples looking for quiet resort near to a lively town

Psalidi is a quiet suburb located some 3 kilometres outside the islands capital of Kos Town, and Lambi is only 900 metres from Kos Towns main harbour area, both offering enchanting resorts with a laid back atmosphere but within striking distance of the larger Kos Town. Both resorts cater for all walks of life with excellent choices of accommodation ranging from basic 2* up to exclusive 5 star hotels.

The beaches is Psalidi are more like private coves, small shingle beaches gently shelving into the sea and are brilliant for snorkelling and diving. There is a handful of beach from cafés and tavernas offering light lunches and snack and a cool drink during the midday sun. The beach a Lambi is much larger, again beautiful soft golden sand and crystal blue water, perfect for kiddies and non swimmers. For the more adventurous, there is a great selection of water sports ranging from the relaxing pedaloes and canoes right through to the crazy jet skis, water skiing and para gliding.

The night-life in these two areas is pretty much relaxing over a meal and a bottle of wine, then wandering around the villages taking in a café or bar and maybe a cocktail or two. Both resorts are traditionally Greek and many tavernas serve up freshly caught fish and shellfish or local produce, entertainingly all the while with a spot of Greek dancing and plate smashing, perfect for families or couples young and old. For those with older teenagers or the young at heart, a short walk from Lambi and a short taxi from Psalidi will take you into Kos Town, with its many bars, pubs, and nightclubs and an even larger selection of international cuisine. Its a win – win situation for families of mixed ages.

Perfectly positioned to be out and about and seeing this lovely island, visit the historical sights of Kos Town, the castles of the Harbour, the ruins dating back to the 5th century. Beach lovers should visit Kamari or Marmari, and chill out on the beautiful blue flag beaches. Kos is a great island to get out and about, you can take a boat trip to neighbouring islands of Kalymnos, Rhodes and Turkey too.

Two beautiful resorts, near a major town, nice beaches and great for all, regardless of taste or budget.
