Nissaki

Transfer Time – 1 hour 20 minutes

Best For – Couples and families seeking a relaxing retreat but close enough to other resorts for livelier night-life

Nissaki means “Little Island” in Greek, and believe me when I say, you feel like you are on a private tropical paradise when you are here, it is a simply stunning resort offering beautiful views on Corfu’s beautiful North East Coast. Separated by mountains and cliffs, this resort is a tranquil destination where you can enjoy beautiful stunning coastal walks into neighbouring resorts such as Kaminaki, Krouzeri and Agni, where you can enjoy a stunning lunch Al Fresco or just sit and watch the world go by.

The beaches in this area are lovely sand and shingle bays that shelve gently into the Mediterranean Sea, the main beach is a beautiful horse shoe bay, ideal for children and non swimmers alike, uncrowded and with a good selection of cafés and tavernas overlooking the seaside. There are no water sports in Nissaki, however only a 20 minutes taxi or bus ride will take you to neighbouring Ipsos with its massive choice of water sports and activities to entertain you.

Night-life in Nissaki tends to consist of a fabulous meal in one of the many traditional tavernas, a bit of live music or traditional Greek dancing and plate smashing. Many of these fabulous eateries are situated on the beachfront making it perfect for a romantic Al Fresco experience. There is a small selection of bars and cafés too, catering for families and offering many evening entertainment like quizzes and karaoke, however it is very laid back and relaxed in general. If you do feel like a livelier night-life, it is a short taxi ride from Ipsos or Kassiopi where you can dance til dawn or just enjoy a change of scenery.

You are situated in an excellent position to get out and about in Corfu. Corfu has many areas worthy of a visit, a day trip to Mount Pantokrator, Corfu’s highest mountain. There a many historical sights too for a touch of culture, The Byzantine ruins are a must see, open to the public to explore. Corfu Town is fantastic for local markets, shops and history too. Or maybe you just want to kick back and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air this beautiful resort has to offer.

A perfect destination for a stress free holiday, perfect for families and couples wishing to enjoy all this beautiful country has to offer.
