Kontokali and Gouvia are 2 beautiful little villages only 15 minutes walk from Corfu’s Capital, Corfu Town. Situated north of Corfu Town, Kontokali provides an ideal village feel and offers a lovely spot for a typical Greek holiday. A perfect destination to relax and unwind with beautiful views overlooking Corfu towns stunning harbour.

The beaches at Kontokali are stunning, soft golden sand and gentle shelving into the Mediterranean, making it a lovely place to spend your days and particularly good for non swimmers or for families with children. There is a huge selection of water sports on offer too, including jet skis, water skiing, para gliding and many more. Diving and sea tours also run from both beaches as the bay is so calm. The sea is positively clear and sparkling in Kontokali making it inviting and exciting, Gouvia offers more of the same, truly gorgeous.

The night-life in Kontokali and Gouvia are perfect for those wanting to enjoy a terrific meal in one of the traditional Greek tavernas. The resort also has a lovely selection of beach front eateries where you can eat Al fresco. Then after your lovely meal, you can wander along the main street or the beachfront, you can head out for drinks and live music in the great selection of bars and cafés. All the bars and tavernas cater well for children too. For those wanting a much busier night-life, a 5 minute taxi ride will take you to Corfu town with its massive selection of bars and clubs where you can dance until the early hours. Or 10 more minutes will take you into Gouvia, another bustling resort but a more traditional feel to it. The choice is endless in Kontokali and Gouvia, so much or so little to do, the choice is yours.

The excursions from here are wonderful, being about as central as you can get, you have access to some many options. Historically, there is the Byzantine ruins, Byzantine churches and many monasteries and cathedrals to visit. For shopping, there is a local market or Corfu Town close by. The colourful marina at Corfu town is lovely to just sit back and enjoy a coffee whilst watching the world go by and of course there are numerous family attractions too, like water parks and locals zoo’s.

Kontokali and Gouvia are perfectly positioned to see all that Corfu has to offer!!
