Best For – Couples or families looking for a traditional Greek holiday with a good selection of night-life.

Kassiopi is one of Corfu’s hidden gems, a beautiful traditional resort, by day there is a lovely selection of secluded coves reached by paths across the headland, and also a main shingly beach near to the town centre. There is a selection of water sports, however the main attraction is the fact that you can nearly always find a quiet spot, pretty much to yourselves and enjoy a spot of snorkelling or just lay back and relax.

Kassiopi was once a working fishing village and still manages to retain much of it traditional charm with a lovely selection of fresh Fish tavernas and many boat trips stop off here for lunch too, due to the popularity of this pretty little harbour. There is a great selection of outdoor cafés, and many restaurants offer Al Fresco dining, whilst watching the world go by. Its very family friendly too and there is a nice selection of family friendly bars, cafés, ice cream parlours and restaurants too.

The night-life in Kassiopi is quite sophisticated, after a meal in one of the high standard restaurants, there is a huge selection of local and traditional bars, a handful of wine bars and even a couple of disco’s, although lively, there is still many venues where you can just sit and chat too. There is a handful of cocktail bars offering top class cocktails, fun atmospheres and of course the local meze to accompany your drinks.

There is an ancient Venetian castle right in the heart of the Kassiopi, making this a perfect place to explore the historical sights and sounds of this once turbulent village. Corfu has many interesting historical sights, Corfu’s town is not a million miles away and steeped in history, with ancient churches, castles and Roman ruins, there is so much to see in Corfu. Another popular one is the Byzantine Forth and its 12th century turbulent past.

Other excursions popular from Kassiopi are of course boat trips, the sea is so clear, you could take a trip on a glass bottomed boat and explore the wonders under the sea. There is a great water park too, not so far away perfect for families. There is some lovely resorts nearby and of course Corfu Town is really good if you wish to shop and pick up a bargain.

Refreshingly Kassiopi is a sophisticated village offering peace and quiet by day, some lovely excursions and a cosmopolitan night-life. Perfect for all i’m sure you will agree.
