Sharm el Sheikh is in the top ten of winter sun destinations from its gorgeous white sandy beaches to exclusive hotels offering total tranquillity and relaxation.

Sharm el Sheikh is an excellent choice when wanting to escape the cold hard winters at home. Most UK airports offer flights to Sharm el Sheikh and with a flying time of only 5 hours it is hard to resist jumping on a flight to the warmer climate. With an average daily temperature of 28c and little rain fall. Transfer from the airport is only approximately 20 minutes depending on which resort you are staying in.

You will need to have a full 10 year British passport with six months validity. There are no vaccinations required to gain entry into the country but it always advisable to check with your GP. You will only need to purchase a visa if you will be travelling outside of Sharm el Sheikh on excursions and this can be done on entry into the country.

The resorts here are pretty similar the liveliest is Naama Bay but any of the surrounding areas can easily reach Naama Bay with a short taxi ride. It is mainly hotel based properties offering bed and breakfast, half board and all inclusive option. The standard of these hotels range from 2 star to 5 star depending on budget. The majority of hotels are on their own private stretch of beach or if not they are only a short walk away. They are well catered for families with an array of facilities on offer from kiddie clubs age range from 3 to 15 years of age and Aqua Parks. Family rooms or interconnecting rooms are available depending on availability. For couples the properties have excellent restaurants with fine dining and Spa facilities and treatment rooms. For the more energetic tennis, aerobics, volleyball and many more activities are on offer.

If diving is more your thing then this is a divers paradise with over 30 fascinating dive sites and coral reefs not forgetting the world famous shipwreck Thistlegorm. If you have never dived before then Sharm el Sheikh is a great choice to give it a go with reasonably price dive packages and qualified instructors to guide you.
