Cyprus in renowned around the world as one of the best summer destinations in the Med, but nowadays more and more tourists are flocking to this jewel of an island in the winter months. And with daytime temperatures in November still hitting 24 degrees its easy to see why.

The beach at Coral bay, Paphos, is where you need to be heading off to top up the tan, its simply the best beach on Cyprus’s west coast, and fortunately this is where your going to find all of your hotels for the winter season. For those non beach lovers panic not because all of our hotels feature swimming pools and vast majority also feature indoor pools and spa’s so even on those days when the weathers not brilliant you can still chill out with a glass of wine and a good book by the Jacuzzi!

Many of our hotels are in Paphos, on the west coast of the island making for a nice short transfer from Paphos International airport, and from the second you land you cant fail to notice a few similarities to the UK, including the fact they drive on the left hand side of the road like us, and you may even pass the odd red telephone box. Another immediate thing you will notice is how friendly the Cypriot people are, always greeted with a smile and nothing ever seems to be too much bother.

As a lot of Cyprus hotels operate on a bed and breakfast basis you will a fantastic opportunity to check out the odd traditional taverna or two before sampling some of the freshest food in the Med in one of the many restaurants that line the harbour front.

There is so much do and see in Cyprus in the winter, and with the weather been cooler than the sizzling summer temperatures Cyrus is famous for, exploring is much more comfortable and relaxing. Why not visit the Tomb of the Kings in Paphos, or visit the birthplace of Aphrodite??? And possibly the best excursion has to be the cruise across to Egypt to visit the Pyramids.

This winter have prices starting from just £249 for a week bed and breakfast in Paphos this winter and as low as £299 half board.

So why not give Cyprus a go this winter and see if you fall in love with possibly the most beautiful island in the Mediterranean
