Cyprus has always been a popular holiday destination but is fast becoming Europe’s Number One choice for families, with is fantastically long hot summers, superb Blue Flag beaches, stunning scenery, family friendly night-life and some of the nicest locals you will ever meet, really what’s not to like??

Some of the best beaches can be found at Coral Bay, with a massive selection of water sports, gently shelving shore and lush green backdrops, makes it both fun and safe for all concerned. Fig Tree Bay and Nissi beach are also famous, award winning beaches especially good for children.

Eating out in Cyprus is a dream, with many traditional restaurants offering traditional and locally produced food, and of course the local wines such as Retsina and Aphrodite. Each of the towns and villages cater for kids, offering an excellent choice on their menus to cater for even the fussiest of people and many do a special kids menu too.

Cyprus has an abundance of water parks to frequent and are popular for all ages young and old. And getting around in Cyprus is easy, car hire is always popular is they too drive on the left.
Another popular thing to do in Cyprus is the Jeep safari, taking you high into the Troodos mountainside, seeing many historical sites on route and views you cant begin to imagine.

Protarus is a popular family resort, with a good selection of friendly family accommodations, a fine beach with water sports, a an excellent selection of bars and restaurants for families too.

Ayia Napa and Nissi Bay offer an abundance of hotels and apartments suitable for families, with a lively night-life, popular with families with older children. An excellent selection of shops and markets too for the bargain hunters.

Limassol is a very cosmopolitan resort with its huge harbour and 12th century castle makes it a great destination if you wish to experience a bit of culture, plus also being quite central on the island makes it a great base for exploring the island. Again an abundance of places to eat out and a huge selection of accommodations to suit every taste and budget.

And last but not least is Paphos, once the capital of Cyprus, offering lush green mountain backdrops down to two main areas. Firstly there is Old Town, with its market and historical sites, quaint little street cafés and a good choice of restaurants and more traditional bars and tavernas, then you have Kato Paphos about 4 kilometres away, with is beautiful harbour and more lively ambience.

So if you are looking for an environment which is clean, green and family friendly, look no further than Cyprus, its truly one of Europe’s more sophisticated destinations and the Cypriots strive to make your stay as pleasurable as possible, so what have you got to lose??
