Family holidays in Croatia can be as hectic or relaxing as you choose to make it, Croatia is a country drenched in sunshine throughout the summer, it has colourful harbours, secluded golden beaches and cities such as Dubrovnik and Porec should you wish for a bit of culture.

Situated on the coast of the Adriatic Sea with its crystal clear waters and some of the most beautiful scenery, it truly is one of Europe’s unknown gems.  Families have been coming here for years, but it is becoming more and more popular as time goes by.  Eating out in Croatia is cheap and the choice is huge, fresh fish being a popular choice, not to mention locally produced hams, salamis and cheeses.  Wine is produced locally too along the vines on the Dalmatian mountainside.

Croatia is fantastic for the adventurous families, many operators now offer amazing adventure packages at prices that no longer break the bank. You can explore the rivers and countryside by mountain bike, foot, kayak and canoe, with amazing rapids at Dobra or walks and bike tracks at Plitvice National Park. Croatia is fantastic for those exciting outdoor pursuits than entertain the adventurous or for those wanting something a little bit different from the norm.

Now you can enjoy some fantastic holidays in the beach resorts along the Croatian coastline, areas such as Podgora, Cavtat, Brela and Tucepi, all typical Croatian villages with beautiful beaches, a good selection of places to eat and drink and a great choice of accommodations ranging from 2 star self catering to 5 star all inclusive all sprinkled with irresistible Italian, Greek and central European flavour.

Croatia also has beautiful island resorts such as Postria, Bol, Mijet, offering another fabulous choice of family friendly properties, some with masses of entertainment and some much quieter, some fantastic secluded coves, ideal for snorkelling and offering a good choice of water sports.  Combine this with a couple of days exploring Split or Dubrovnik and take in some of the countries historical excursions, including churches, palaces, museums, not to mentions some exclusive boutiques, restaurants, cafés and nightclubs.

So for some scenery resembling the garden of Eden, some fabulous family friendly resorts and accommodations and a chance to expand your mind, then Croatia really has it all.
