The Dubrovnik Riviera is made up of some of the most beautiful resorts on the Adriatic coastline. If you are thinking of visiting Croatia but don’t know where to go, let us tell you about a few of the most popular resorts.

Dubrovnik, probably the most well known and an extraordinary destination to visit. Known as ‘The Pearl of the Adriatic’ it has to rank as one of the worlds most unforgettable sights. The old town of Dubrovnik is surrounded by tall walls built in the 13th century, so the whole resort is steeped in history and old buildings. The main boulevard is pedestrianised with narrow cobbled streets with shops, bars and restaurants. The hotels here are very high standards and all within walking distance of the old town or Main Boulevard and suit every age group, young and old.

Cavtat has been a firm favourite with Brutish tourists, this is beautiful resort with palm lined promenades, pavement cafes, traditional restaurants and even some lively bars and a disco. Great for families of mixed age groups. The beach is popular with crystal clear waters and offers both character and charm is beautiful surroundings.

Korcula has one of the Riviera best beaches, with numerous unspoilt coves, azure seas and lush green scenery into the hills behind you. Contained in old fortified walls, with its medieval palaces and palaces, it certainly gives Dubrovnik a run for its money for history and spectacular sights. This resort is an excellent choice for mixed age groups, and the nightlife, although laid back, there is plenty of choice and eating out is wonderful too, with many fabulous restaurants to choose from.

There are many much smaller resorts to consider too in The Dubrovnik Riviera, Plat, Orasac, and Slano to name but a few, all stunning in their own way.

Eating our in Croatia is cheap and delicious, fish lovers adore the choice of fresh fish available here and meat eaters must try the local salamis and hams, they are like nothing else, locally produced, just fantastic. Shopping is another popular pastime here, with lots of souvenirs to pick up and locally made pottery.

The Dubrovnik Riviera is exquisite, with colourful harbours, dramatic history and crystal azure sea, its no wonder the tourists flock here year after year.
