Transfer time – 30 minutes

Best for – Families and couples wanting an adventurous resort

Port Aventura is on of Europe’s largest theme park, set close to the Costa Dorada’s fine beaches and main resorts. Whether you want to experience the thrills and spills of a roller-coaster or feel the sand between your toes, Port Aventura has something for everyone.

Port Aventura has 4 wonderful hotels, all themed differently and great fun for all the family. The Caribe is a wonderful hotel, on the outskirts of Salou, a lush Caribbean experience, palm trees, stunning beaches and a high standard in all the rooms. The next hotel is the El Paso, where all the rooms and hotel facilities are reminiscent of a Mexican hacienda, just perfect for relaxing after a busy day at the theme park. Then there’s the Gold River hotel which is like stepping into an Old American mining town, fun and fascinating and the rooms are just superb. And finally the Port Aventura Hotel, a wonderful Mediterranean themed hotel, with wonderful gardens and in a perfect location for experiencing all the best bits of this area. Also, when you stay in these hotels, you also qualify for a free theme park entry. (correct at the time of editing).

Port Aventura is located on the coast of the Costa Dorada so has access to many wonderful beaches, including Salou’s busy beach with sun loungers, parasols and water sports, not to mention plenty cafés, bars and restaurants lining the beach. Port Aventura actually has its own exclusive beach club for clients staying in one of their 4 fabulous themed hotels.

Port Aventura has many thrilling rides and attractions that are suitable and lots of fun for the young and young at heart, and regardless of where you stay on the Costa Dorada, a day here is a must. There is a brilliant Aquatic Park too, with many slides, chutes and flumes to keep everyone entertained.

Regardless of where you decide to stay, night-life is varied resort by resort. There are some lively and some quiet, all family friendly and all with a great choice of places to eat and drink and all within a short walk or taxi from Port Aventura. Its certainly a holiday for creating memories and its no wonder people return here year after year!!
