La Pineda is a wonderful resort in Costa Dorada, a prefect location for families and couples wanting a great beach and plenty resort activities. The resort is also perfectly located for exploring the surrounding areas and is in easy reach of Barcelona and Montserrat and Granada.

Daytimes in La Pineda are often spent lazing around the pool or on one of the beaches this beautiful resort has to offer. The main beach in resort is a blue flag awarded beach for cleanliness and activities, and it is over 2.5 kilometres of beautiful soft golden sand, that shelves gently into the Mediterranean, the surf is gentle and shallow making it a superb place for kiddies to play and for adults to swim. The beach remains uncrowded, even during high season and there are plenty sunbeds and parasols to hire. For those with lots of energy to burn, there is a fabulous water sports centre where you can hire pedallos, jet skis, para-gliders and wind surfers to name but a few. The beach also hold kiddies entertainment too, so great all round fun for all the family. For those wanting peace and tranquillity, a short walk along the coast will bring you to a good selection of quiet coves, where a good book and a cool drink is all that’s on the cards.

Evenings in La Pineda are relatively laid back although there is a good choice of bas, cocktails bars and cafés all welcoming children and some even offering evening entertainment such as karaoke, bingo , quizzes or live music. There’s even a couple of discos for those wanting to dance the night away, however Salou is not too far away and the night-life there is so much livelier. The choice of restaurants in La Pineda is great, from traditional restaurants, fish restaurants through to international menus, such as Italian, Chinese and Indian to name but a few, and of course you always have the option of a snack bar, café or pizzeria to grab something quick. There is a good selection of shops in resort too, for a spot of late night shopping to pick up a souvenir or two.

La Pineda has many attractions nearby, try a day out at one of Europe’s largest water parks, with masses of chutes and flumes and other such water rides to entertain the young and young at heart. There’s also Port Aventura, a huge theme park with thrilling rides and activities, a great day out for all concerned. Nearby Cambrils is worth a visit, with a beautiful harbour, and famous seafood restaurants and the choice of historical sights too. Barcelona is a must for anyone coming this close to this amazing city, with more historical sights, amazing shops and boutiques, outdoor cafés and stunning sights, oh and not forgetting the Nou camp for the fells, a must see for all ages. Maybe you want to stay in the resort and experience the nearby golf courses, the horse riding and the mountain bikes available for hire, and don’t forget the wonderful boat trips on offer along this pretty coast.
