Where else in the world can you get year round sunshine, white tropical beaches and turquoise seas to kick back while your kids enjoy excitement, fun and adventure at the same time. The Caribbean, that’s where!!! Now more accessible than ever before, served from more and more UK airports.

Destinations such as Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Cuba and Mexico are now as popular for families as the usual Spain and Greece and costs need not break the bank either. With hotels ranging from 2 star to 5 star deluxe, there is something for everyone’s tastes and budget. Many hotels are on an all inclusive basis, including all food and drinks and entertainment, but you can pick up a deal for room only or bed and breakfast too. Rooms in the Caribbean are always large and airy, so excellent when you have children sharing and you wont find any awful high rise buildings too.

Jamaica is a tropical paradise sporting waterfalls, beautiful scenery and stunning white sanding beaches and coves. The hotels are very family friendly and often provide entertainment to everyone, but especially children, kids clubs and activities running from morning through into the evening. Everyone will enjoy the choice of water sports and excursions on offer in Jamaica, be sure to visit mystic mountain and learn all about the environment with a lot of fun into the bargain.

Mexico is ideal if you have sun worshippers wanting to unwind, while the kids clubs and animation teams entertain your children. There is the most idyllic white tropical beaches with lots of water sports, plenty of bars and restaurants with a family ambiance, not to mention a huge choice of excursions on offer. A firm favourite with many travellers is Xel-Ha, a tropical paradise with snorkelling, lazy river, cliff jumping, rope swinging and jungle treks, a trip for all ages, young and old.

Cuba is energetic, vibrant but can be relaxing if you want. With its crystal clear waters, white beaches and most hotels with entertainment to suit any age, it truly is a fantastic place to take kids. There is various destinations to choose from, Havana, Cayo Coco, Varadero, Cayo Santa Maria, all offering different activities and adventures. Some historical, some educational but all fun, fun fun.
Many people come here to swim with Dolphins in Cienfuegos, marvel at a show of dancing dolphins before you get into the water and experience something most of us only dream of.

Last but not least is the Dominican republic, probably the most returned to destination in the Caribbean. Again with palm tree lined white beaches, friendly locals and an abundance of water sports. Nearly every hotel has its own animation team offering fun and adventures for all ages and be sure to go on the famous “Caribbean Festival” where you can experience a once in a life time opportunity of snorkelling with sharks and stingrays.

There are many other Caribbean destinations which are becoming more popular to like Aruba, Grenada and Tobago which also offer some beautiful Caribbean beaches, adventures and fun for every age!

So for those families wanting to explore their sense of adventure and experience something a little bit more exotic, then give one of the Caribbean destinations a go, we guarantee you will love it and get some guaranteed sunshine into the bargain.
