Cala ‘n Blanes is a romantic little resort situated in the western areas of the island. It is a rugged coastline with some simply stunning views and many people come here to walk and enjoy the local flora and fauna this area provides, total rural beauty.

Days are mainly spent on the fabulous beach in Cala ‘n Blanes, there is a large beach the soft golden sand which shelves gently into crystal blue waters and is sheltered by the hilly backdrop, making the water warm, shallow wand safe, absolutely perfect for children or those wanting to snorkel or dive. There are plenty sunbeds and parasols for hire and the beach remains un crowded, even during high season. For those looking for an adrenaline rush, there is a fantastic water sports centre located at the beach too, with a great choice of water sports to choose from, there is pedallos, jet skis, water skiing, surfing, canoes, kayaks and the usual ringos and banana rides, to name but a few. There is a good selection of cafés and restaurants located near the beach and plenty places to get a cool drink.

Evenings in Cala ‘n Blanes are fairly low key, although there are plenty bars, cafés offering a varied entertainment programme and all suitable for all ages, all family friendly. Take your time over a meal and enjoy wonderful fresh fish meal caught fresh that day or wander down to the seafront and enjoy one of the more internationally themed restaurants offering menus such as Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Indian, all washed down with the locally produced wines of Menorca. Shopping is a popular past time on an evening, especially because the temperatures have dropped and the shops stay open until late. The larger resort of Cala ‘n Forcat is within walking distance of Cala ‘n Blanes too, making it great for a change of scenery. There is a much larger choice and variety of evening entertainments and even a couple of disco’s.

Cala ‘n Blanes is perfectly situated for getting around the island of Menorca, shopaholics must take a trip into Ciudadella for a fantastic array of boutiques, shops and souvenir stalls and the weekly market, only a short bus ride away and just perfect for picking up a bargain. Mahon is lovely too, with many shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a wonderfully pretty harbour and marina where you can sit back and watch the world go by and Mahon has a fantastic Medieval part of the city, interesting for the culture vultures out there. For the young and young at heart, there are a couple of amazing water parks where you can ride the chutes and slides all day. Boat trips are popular for day and evening trips, Menorca has many wonderful coves and resorts easily reached by boat and the sunset boat trips are breathtaking.
