Arenal D’en Castell is a beautiful resort located in the north-east coast of Menorca, This peaceful and scenic resort is perfect for those who enjoy walking and for the sun worshippers who love a fabulous beach. Located close to the Albufera nature reserve and with a good choice of activities in resort, there’s no wonder holiday makers return here year after year.

The beach in Arenal D’en Castell is perfect, its been awarded a blue flag for how perfect it is, its a horse shoe shaped beach, sheltered by a stunning back drop of pine trees and mountains, giving a sheltered, calm sea, soft golden sand and crystal clear water, just stunning and safe for little ones to paddle in. snorkelling here is good too due to the shape of the beach and the clear blue sea. There are plenty sun loungers and parasols for hire, a good selection of cafés and restaurants and a couple of bars for that all important refreshing drink. For those with a little more energy, the resort has a brilliant selection of water sports to hire, including pedallos, jet skis, water skiing, banana and ringos, to name but a few.

Evenings in Arenal D’en Castell tend to be relaxed and laid back, although there is a good selection of bars and pubs offering a variety of family friendly entertainment. Most people enjoy a nice romantic meal and a bottle of locally produced wine whilst watching the incredible sunsets, with a good selection of restaurants to choose from. There are fast food places and pizzerias too for a snack if you so wish. There are a few shops and boutiques, along with a few souvenir stalls which tend to stay open late too.

Arenal d’en CCastell has many activities to do in resort but is also located in a perfect position to get out and about and explore the island. There is water parks, horse riding, local markets and a lovely little train to take you around nearby attractions if you don’t fancy the walk. Out of Arenal d’en Castell there are many excursions to consider, one of the favourites are Monte Toro, over 300 meter’s high and a 300 years old sanctuary, not to mention giving you access to views over the island. There is plenty other historical sights too, including pre historic monuments and ancient burial sights. Another that shouldn’t be missed is the Andalucian horses, dancing horse put on a spectacular show, and there’s no where else in the world to see this amazing show. Mahon is the capital of Menorca and is definitely worth a visit, so many shops, boutiques and some fabulous places to wine and dine.
