Palma Nova is a wonderful resort which suits all walks of life, a popular family resort, especially families with older children, and great for couples wanting a cosmopolitan resort with many things going on. Perfect for sun worshipers and beach lovers and especially for those who like walking and beautiful scenery.

Palma Nova by day can be as relaxed or busy as you wish, most people spend the day relaxing round the pool or spent laid back on the fabulous sandy beach, soft golden sand and warm shallow waters, perfect for families with young children. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols and the beach is not over crowded, even during high season. There is a massive water sports centre offering many activities for the young and young at heart, there is also a diving centre offering tuition for adults and children at very reasonable rates. There is a massive water park just outside the main village, with over 20 chutes and slides and lots of families fun. Magaluf is a short walk away and has more options for daytime activities.

Nights in Palma Nova are definitely lively, however most of the bars, cafés and cocktail bars are family friendly and offer a wide range of evening entertainments. For those wanting to dance the night away, you can take a walk or short taxi into Magaluf and dance til dawn in the many famous nightspots. Eating out in Palma Nova is easy, there are so many cafés, snack bars and international restaurants on offer, including Spanish, Indian, Italian and Chinese, and there are many fast food places too. The marina has some beautiful open air eateries and are a perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. Everyone must go on the Pirate Excursion whilst in Palma Nova, It is a fabulous acrobatic act, world-class show with plenty food and drinks thrown in, perfect for all the family or any age group.

Palma Nova is very well situated for getting out and about and seeing this wonderful island, as we’ve already said there are many excursions close to Palma Nova, so there is no need to go far for a change of scenery. As well as the water park, another firm favourite with families is the Marine land, dolphins, sea lions and parrots putting on a show, and of course you can book a slot and swim with these wonderful creatures. The islands capital of Palma is only a short drive too, and there are many historical sights, many, many amazing shops, boutiques and souvenirs stalls, and many wonderful cobbled streets to wander and experience Spain at its best. The Caves of Drach are always a great day out, taking a boat trip underground, stalactites and stalagmites and and afternoon in nearby Porto Christo. Boat trips are another great way of seeing Majorca, and you get to visit some deserted beaches etc., only reached by boat.
