Best For – Families and couples looking for a more exclusive resort

Situated on the beautiful south coast of Majorca, just to the west of Palma, Illettas is a very picturesque resort that attracts clients wanting a more exclusive resort, it definitely attracts the more affluent visitors and many locals come here for a holiday.. The accommodation is generally very high standards and has some of the best hotels on the island.

Days in Illettas are mostly spent enjoying the soft, golden sand and the gentle shallow waters, perfect for children to paddle in, however if you are looking to get away from it all, there are many smaller coves within a short walk, again with fabulous sand and perfect for snorkelling. There are a handful of water sports and diving is very popular around this area. If you want a busier beach and more water sports, a short taxi ride will take you into Palma Nova or Palma, where the options are much more.

Evenings in Illettas are a relaxed affair, often spent enjoying a meal and a bottle or wine or two, in one of the many Al Fresco restaurants and watching the breathtaking sunsets often seen around these parts. Then a wander down into the village to enjoy a drink or two in the small selection of bars and cafés, some offering entertainment. However, for those wanting a much livelier evening, a short trip will take you into Magaluf, with over 400 bars, clubs and discos, you can dance your socks off and dance til the early hours. Or go into Palma Nova and sit and watch the world go by on the beautiful marina. Palma is so close too, where you can wander the little cobbled streets and sit outside and take in a cool drink or wander around the shops and souvenir stalls.

Illettas is perfectly positioned to explore this gorgeous island, if you can bear to drag yourself away from this beautiful area, there are many family attractions within a short drive, There is Aqualandia, with over 20 chutes and slides and other water based attractions, There is Marine-land, with dolphin, Sea Lion and parrot shows, There is Palma, with its many historical sights and many shops, or you could take a boat trip and see the island that way. Other popular excursions include The Pirate show, The Caves Of Drach, or experience rural Majorca, a unique excursion taking you into tiny little villages and see how they make a living, a very interesting trip and a great way to meet the locals too.
