Located on the beautiful south coast of Majorca, El Arenal has something for everyone, Although a purpose built resort, it has been done very tastefully with families in mind, with a beautiful pedestrianised promenade and accommodation within a short walk of all the resorts amenities, its no wonder that El Arenal is one of Majorca’s most popular resorts.

The daytimes in El Arenal are mostly spent on the fabulous 5 miles coast of soft golden sand, gently shelving into cool, clear waters, perfect for children who like a paddle and with plenty sun loungers and parasols to hire, even during high season, and a good selection of beach huts, bars and cafés all offering a break from the midday sunshine. For the more energetic, there are plenty water sports on offer, pedalloes, jet skis, para gliding and water skiing to name but a few. Many enjoy the stroll along the shallow waters and wander into the neighbouring resort of Can Pastilla, or for those who don’t want to walk, there is a little train which will run you there for pennies. There are plenty of shops and boutiques too if you don’t want to relax on the beach.

Eating out is easy, there is everything from fast food to A La Carte menus, El Arenal has a very international feel to it, and a good mix of restaurants offer everything from traditional Spanish to Indian, Chinese and Italian. And don’t forget that you are a short drive from Can Pastilla and the islands capital, Palma where you have even more choice on offer.

El Arenal is very well placed for a base to get out and about in Majorca, that is if you feel the need, El Arenal is often visited by other holiday makers due to the activities on offer around the resort. There is Majorca’s largest water park, with over 20 different slides and many water attractions, and then we have 2 top class gold courses, perfect for a few holes in the sunshine. For those wanting to shop for those holiday memories, Palma is approximately 20 minutes on the local bus, with masses of shops, boutiques and souvenir stalls, not to mention the many, many historical sights and of course the choice of places to wine and dine. Other great days out includes Palma’s Aquarium, The Caves of Drach, The Pirate Show and there are many boat trips which are a lovely way of exploring this beautiful island.
