Best for – Families looking for an action packed destination

Alcudia has always been a popular destination for families, it is a perfectly laid out resort situated on the north coast of the island. This resort is geared to cater for all ages, tastes and budgets, is really is a haven for a family holiday, with most of the hotels geared towards families too

The beach in Alcudia is gorgeous, with miles of soft golden sand, gently shelving into crystal clear, shallow waters, perfect for the little ones to play in and there are many sun loungers and parasols to hire too. There is an excellent selection of water sports available to hire including pedallos, jet skis, para gliding, banana rides and canoes to name but a few. Snorkelling and diving is another popular past time here as there is so much to see under the water, be sure to use a recognised diving centre though. There is an excellent selection of beach side cafés and snack bars, perfect for getting a refreshing drink of lunch and to escape from the midday sun.

Evenings in Alcudia are so varied and the choice is huge, you’ll be struggling as to what to choose. You have a fine selection of traditional and international restaurants available in resort, all family friendly and there is also the usual take always and snacks bars and cafés to tide you over too. The choice of bars and pubs is huge, all situated along the bay and the village centre, offering every thing from karaoke to piano bars, discos and even a couple of nightclubs. There is a good selection of shops, supermarkets, a local market and boutiques offering all kinds of bargains.

There is a water park very close to Alcudia, a very popular day out for families, or maybe you want to enjoy a bit of culture, the old part of Alcudia has some very beautiful buildings and a museum and they offer a two hour historical tour during the main season. The nearby wetland reserve is a scenic area offering you access to local wild life and flora and fauna and again all easily reached by local transport. Boat trips are a great way of exploring Majorca, take a trip round the island, stopping off at many beautiful beaches for lunch, a great way to see this spectacular Spanish island.

Alcudia is a wonderful destination for families, but many couples and young people also enjoy this resort, it has something for everyone. Just Perfect!!!
