San Antonio – Ibiza

Transfer Time – 35 minutes

Best for – Young and lively resort with many bars, clubs and discos, suits lively couples and families too.

San Antonio is really a game of two halves, San Antonio Town which is the liveliest place in Europe, and San Antonio Bay, which is more serene and has a wonderful harbour with many outdoor cafés, wine bars and restaurants. Located on the west coast if Ibiza, a perfect location for exploring the island.

Days in San Antonio tend to be spent lounging around on the beautiful beaches. There are soft golden sand and shallow, clear waters to enjoy in both areas and all are with in a stone’s throw of most accommodations. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols for hire and many beach side cafés, snack bars and restaurants and a handful of beach shacks offering cool drinks and ice creams. There are many water sports on offer here too, from parasols, water skiing and para gliding, as well as many others, and of course San Antonio has its own diving centre offering tuition for adults and children. Many spent a few hours wandering along the harbour and marina, enjoying the shops and boutiques and wonderful Al Fresco restaurants.

Evenings are when San Antonio really comes alive, San An Bay is the quieter area, popular with families who want a great selection of family friendly bars, cafés and cocktail bars and many offering varied evening entertainments. San Antonio Town is known as the party capital of Europe, with hundreds or bars, pubs and discos and of course some world famous nightclubs such as Eden and Space. The choice of places to eat out are endless, both the Town and the Bay have a many local and international restaurants, endless cafés, snack bars and fast food places. Everyone should try the open air bistros and restaurants around the marina, enjoy a meal whilst watching the incredible sunsets Ibiza is famous for.

Young and young at heart will enjoy the 2 water parks for fun days out, with many chutes, slides and water features. Then you have wonderful boat trips from The Bay, a great way to experience the island and explore some of the more remote beaches and resorts. Everyone should visit Ibiza Town, the islands capital, with is choice of historical sights, amazing shops and massive choice of places to wine and dine. A lot of holiday makers enjoy the hippy market in Es Cana, where every Wednesday, the locals set out their stalls with everything from leather, local crafts, designer clothes and hand bags, a great fun day out and a perfect place to pick up a bargain.

San Antonio Town and Bay have been popular with British holiday makers for years, and with all the choice of activities on offer, its no wonder folk return here year after year.
