Best For – Families and couples wanting a great location, quiet days and livelier nights

Portinatx is the most northern resort in Ibiza, set in a stunning location with pine trees on the headland, 3 stunning beaches and a wonderful view out over the sea. This is a perfect resort if you want to escape the crowds but still have a great selection of activities with in a short distance, Golfers in particular will love the 2 amazing golf courses on the outskirts of Portinatx.

There are 3 beaches in Portinatx, well when we say beaches, we actually mean, perfect little coves with stunning soft golden sand, all shelving into shallow, crystal blue waters, absolutely perfect for those wanting to snorkel and brilliant and safe for children too. There are sun loungers and parasols for hire on all 3 beaches and a small selection of water sports too. Many families will enjoy the close proximity to Ibiza’s 2 water parks where there are over 20 slides and chutes, and many water based activities. There are plenty choice in bars, restaurants and snack bars offering a welcome break from the midday sun too.

The evenings in Portinatx can be fairly lively, especially during high season, however all the bars and cocktail bars have a very family feel to them and children are made very welcome. Portinatx can also be a romantic destination if you are a couple wanting t enjoy a leisurely meal, as there are many restaurants offering a great range of menus, local and international. Sea food is very popular her, as are the incredible sunsets to watch whilst enjoying your meal. There are plenty shops, and souvenir stalls open until late too and of course many bars and cafés will put on their own evening entertainment.

Portinatx is well places for exploring the island, boat trips in particular often pop into Portinatx and leave from here too. Glass bottomed boats, catamarans and even the odd yacht are a familiar sight and a great way of getting around the island and getting access to the best beaches too. Obviously we have mentioned the golf and the water parks. For those looking for a livelier day or night, take a trip into San Antonio or Ibiza Town with the masses of bars, cocktail bars and discos on offer. For those culture vultures, take a trip to Ibiza Town, where you will experience the medieval village of Dalt Vila with its castle and winding streets and museums. The hippy market in Es Cana is a perfect day out too, every Wednesday the locals set up the stalls and you can pick up amazing bargains and lovely holiday souvenirs.
