Figueretas is a wonderful, small Spanish resort, set just down from the islands capital Ibiza Town, is has an authentic feel to it, and the village itself is fairly laid back, however being so close to many major resorts, its a perfect location to have best of both worlds. Families enjoy the variety of activities on offer in the resort and couples enjoy the romantic feel to this little village.

Days in Figueretas are mainly spent relaxing around the pool or enjoying the fantastic beaches in and around this perfect location. The main beach in Figueretas offers soft, golden sand, gently shelving into crystal clear waters, shallow and safe, a perfect area for children to play. There is a great selection of water sports on offer for those with more energy, water skiing, jet skiing, para gliding, banana and ringo rides to name but a few and there is an amazing dive centre which offers tuition for adults and children. The beach itself feels pretty un crowded, even during high season and there are plenty sun loungers and parasols for hire too. For those wanting a quieter beach, a short walk will take you to some stunning coves where you can kick back and totally relax.

Evenings in Figueretas has a very laid back atmosphere, and couples will love eating out in the al fresco, open air restaurants whilst watching the amazing sunsets that Ibiza is famous for. There are plenty bars and cafés and cocktail bars and all offer friendly family evening entertainment. Being located right between San Antonio and Playa D’en Bossa, those of you who want to dance the night away, you are only a few minutes in a taxi, where you can enjoy clubs like Pacha. For those romantic amongst you, take a wander along the salt flats at dusk and see some amazing sunsets and stunning scenery, seen no where else in the world, absolutely breathtaking.

Figueretas is located in a perfect location for exploring this stunning island of Ibiza, and the excursions on offer are endless. One of the most popular has to be the Hippy market in Es Cana, every Wednesday, the locals come to sell there hand crafted arts and wonderful local souvenirs and is a perfect place to pick up a bargain. For the young and young at heart, there is a water park just a hop, skip and jump away from the village, with many flumes and chutes to keep even the most active entertained. Many boat trips leave from Figueretas and they are the best way to get out and about to explore Ibiza, there are some stunning coves and resorts and some can only be reached by boat. Ibiza Town is a mere 20 minutes easy stroll from Figueretas and the culture vultures will love the many historical sights and museums as well at the Medieval part of town called the Dalt Vila, simply breathtaking. So much to do and so little time!!
