Cala Gracio – Ibiza

Transfer Time – 45 minutes

Best For – Couples or families wanting a “getaway from it all”

Cala Gracio has to be one of the most beautiful resorts in Ibiza, with a stunning backdrop and gorgeous coastline, it makes for a perfect get away for all, and the beauty of this resort is that is it only a stones throw from larger resorts like San Antonio.

Days in Cala Ggracio tend to be spent lazing around the pool or relaxing on the beach with its sheltered bay, soft golden sand and shallow, crystal clear water, perfect for swimming and snorkelling and children love to play in these safe waters. The beach remains un crowded, even during high season, with a big selection of sun loungers and parasols for hire and a choice of cafés, snack bars and restaurants, as well as a couple of beach bars for that refreshingly cool drink. There are limited water sports on Cala Gracio’s beach, however San Antonio is only a small bus ride or cheap taxi ride away and the choice there is massive.

Evenings in Cala Gracio tend to be laid back, enjoying a nice meal and bottle of wine in one of the traditional restaurants. There is a nice selection of bars and cocktails bars offering a variety of evening entertainment and all are family friendly too. For those wanting a change of scenery, San Antonio, Ports Des Torrent and Cala Tarida offer a nice change and some wonderful places to wine and dine and of course San Antonio is renound for its lively night-life. Many holiday makers enjoy the variety of shops and souvenir stalls in Cala Ggracio, and many stay open til late.

Cala Gracio is perfectly located for getting out and about and seeing this beautiful Balearic Island. There is a water park a very short bus ride from the resort with many chutes, slides and water attractions, making a great day out for the young and young at heart. Punta Arabi has a market every Wednesday and you can pick up some amazing local crafts and leather goods. For those wanting a bit of culture, we’d recommend Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town, a medieval part of town and has recently been declared a World Heritage Site. Boat trips are wonderful in Ibiza and a great way of seeing the island, in particular, take the Sunset sailing trip, the sunsets are superb and all enjoyed with a meal on-board and a few glasses of wine.

Cala Gracio suits all walks of life, peace and quiet, but still within easy reach of major town and villages to spice it up a bit.
